Four roles

How it usually goes
It rarely starts with technology
Almost every engagement starts with a business question: which decision needs to improve, and what information hangs on it. Models and systems come after that.
No handover to third parties
What we design, we also build. And what we build, we can maintain. There is no party in between that takes over the work halfway.
The form may change along the way
An advisory track that becomes a project, a project that moves into maintenance, a specialist who stays. That is normal, and it need not mean a new search.
Where the work sits
When data and AI are scaled up, roughly ten percent of the effort goes into the algorithm, twenty percent into data and technology, and seventy percent into processes and people: who decides, who owns it, and what changes in the daily work. That split comes from Boston Consulting Group. It matches what we see.
A pilot that succeeds and then stalls rarely fails on the model. More often there is no owner on the business side: someone who needs the result to meet their own targets.
Ten percent: the algorithm
The model itself: choosing it, training it, tuning it. It is real work, but rarely where an engagement comes apart.
Twenty percent: data and technology
Sources, connections, quality and maintenance. This is the foundation we talk about most, and it is still not the largest part of the work.
Seventy percent: processes and people
Who decides, who owns it, what changes in the work. The part that is rarely in a pilot budget, and that determines the outcome.
We are not a change management consultancy. What we do: we do not start building before there is an owner, we test in the real work process, and we agree one measurement point up front.
The rest of that seventy percent happens inside your own organisation, and that is where we work alongside you: we name what is still missing, think with you about who carries it, and stay until it runs.
